Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This incident isn't the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
