A Significant Investment In mid-December, the network made a major announcement: Haha, You Clowns has been renewed for two more seasons. This gives creator Joe Cappa significant creative freedom to develop the world of the Campbell family. The show centers on three respectful teenage brothers whose central trait is their deep love for their widowed father, with Cappa providing the voices for all four key characters. "I am incredibly thankful to the fans of the show who gave *Haha, You Clowns* a chance and shared it with others," said Cappa. "I am overjoyed that I get to hang out at the Campbell household for the foreseeable future." A President's Endorsement In the same announcement commendation from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "radically heartfelt and oddly captivating." He shouted out the fans who found the show and supported its uniquely offbeat appeal. "All of you supported this new show, rooted for it on social media, and helped it grow week over week so we could approve not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. "As the show says: 'You are strong! You are loved!'" A Comforting Counterpoint Earlier this fall, Haha, You Clowns was praised as "a wholesome alternative" to other adult animated fare. It offers something surprisingly comfy about following this charming family navigate their everyday routines. Previously, creator Joe Cappa expressed his hope to move the comedy genre beyond its long-running cynical streak. He linked this trend to the rise of certain blockbuster franchises. “It feels like there's a default mode of irony that we can't get ourselves out of,” explained Cappa. “It's like we have to know we’re the smartest person in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for a decade, and we just have to laugh at something different now.
